William Hall, born in 1791 in Wroxton, Oxfordshire, married
Ann Sabin of Ashorne, Warwickshire at Newbold Pacey on 26 November 1817. They were living in Stoneleigh by 1823 when their second child Catharine was born, their first child Thomas having been born in 1819 in Kenilworth.
William and Ann had five children and in censuses he is described as an agricultural labourer - and pauper. He died on 14 October 1864 and was buried on 19 October. His wife Ann died on 29 November 1871 and was buried on 3 December.
The elaborate nature of their headstone suggests that at least one of their five children was sufficiently well-off to pay for it.
