Samuel Perry is commemorated with his infant daughter
Ann Sarah.
Their headstone is near to his in-laws Sarah and Thomas Hadley (see
B16.3).
Samuel Perry married Ann Hadley 4 February 1811 and was a coach proprietor from the Coventry coach office. Ann was the youngest daughter of Sarah and Thomas Hadley and in 1841 was a widow living with her elderly mother Sarah in Bubbenhall.
Ann Sarah was baptised at St. Michael, Coventry 31 May 1816 and buried in Stoneleigh 4 July 1816.
Weep not for me because I've lost my breath
My pains were such as made me wish for death.
Christ my Redeemer knew which was best
To save my pains and send my soul to rest.
My life was like the winter's sun
From earth I came, to heaven I'm gone.
God bless the rest - give them longer days
To live on earth God's name to praise.
