Hannah Brookes was 75 when she died on 24 October 1824, according to the burial register. Her residence is given as Cryfield and she was buried on 28 October. Her tombstone records that she was a faithful servant of one family upwards of 36 years ... or 56 years? the family seems to be the Perkins of Cryfield, who were to be the executors of her Will. Dying unmarried, Hannah left legacies to her sister Sarah Preest and her brother Samuel Brookes.
