Thomas Alfred Beech and Daisy Beech nee Hannaford
Thomas "Tom" Beech was born on 17 February 1909 in Coventry. He was the only son of Thomas Alfred Beech and his wife Clara nee Chatwin, though there were three sisters and another child of the marriage had died by 1911. His father was a coach trimmer.
By 1939 Thomas was married, and living with his parents and his wife Daisy Ethel nee Hannaford. He was, like his father before him, a coach trimmer, and the family lived at 52 Evenlode Crescent in Coventry.
In the summer of 1945 their son Ronald C T Beech was born.
Daisy Ethel Hannaford was born on 2 September 1911, to parents Charles, a plumber and housebuilder of Tottenham, and Juliet nee Buck. She was their seventh child. Earlier that year, for the 1911 census, her father had stated that six children had been born to his marriage, five of whom had survived. In 1939, when married to Tom and living in Coventry, she was working as a general stores shopkeeper.
Daisy died on 14 August 1985 and had been living at that time in Inglewood Close, Lillington. Tom died on 17 September 1993 at the same address.
