Thomas Smith died on 28 June 1839 at the age of 46. The burial register gives his residence as Crackley. He had married Sarah Watts at Stoneleigh on 19 October 1826. Sarah lived until 19 January 1855 and was buried at Stoneleigh on 24 January alongside her husband. She had continued to live at Crackley.
