Mabel Ada Johnson was born in Kings Newnham on 29 November 1910 to parents Harry and Ada Johnson nee Gillett. They all lived at Abbey Hall Farm near Brinklow where her father was a farmer. She married Maurice John Ormond in December 1932. They had a daughter, Gwendoline, born in 1944. Maurice passed away on 11 February 1959 while they were living at Manor Fields Farm in Stoneleigh. Mabel lived for another 35 years, dying on 31 March 1994 at the age of 83, with her funeral soon afterwards at Stoneleigh on 8 April.
Maurice John Ormond
Maurice was born in Brentford, Essex on 7 September 1907, one of four children of George and Mabel nee Smith. He married Mabel Ada Johnson in December 1932 in Rugby, Warwickshire. When she was born in 1910 her family were farming at Abbey Hall Farm near Brinklow. Maurice and Mabel farmed at Manor Farm Fields in Stoneleigh; in the 1939 register he is a general farmer and his wife assists as a poultry farmer. Maurice is also a special constable. The couple had a daughter, Gwendoline, born in 1944.
Maurice passed away on 11 February 1959 in Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital aged 51 years. The executors of his will were Mabel and Frederick John Lawton, a company director.
