John Edward Twigger
John was born in Warwickshire in May 1943, the second child of Thomas Ralph Twigger and his wife Frances Clarissa Daisy nee Walton. He was christened at St. Mary the Virgin Church at Stoneleigh on 23 May 1943. Sadly he died aged 13 on 23 July 1958. Father and son are buried together.
Thomas Ralph Twigger
Thomas was born in Bubbenhall on 11 October 1900 to parents Thomas Twigger and his wife Frances nee Campion. He was christened in Bubbenhall on 16 December 1900. The family lived at The Post Office, Main Street Bubbenhall with father Thomas described as a grocer and shopkeeper in the 1901 Census. Ten years later by the time of the next census the family were still in Bubbenhall but Thomas senior had now become a master baker. By 1936 Thomas the younger had reached the age of 35 and married Frances Clarissa Daisy Walton (known as Clarissa) on 2 May at St. Mary's in Stoneleigh. Their first child Sheila Frances was born on 9 October 1938 in Stoneleigh. The 1939 Register shows them living in Vicarage Road Stoneleigh with Clarissa's parents. By now Thomas was employed as a metallurgist development engineer. They had a son John Edward born in May 1943 who died having just reached his 13th birthday, on 23 July 1958. Thomas eventually died on 28 April 1987 while living at Ivy House Foleshill Road Coventry.
Frances Clarissa Daisy Walton was born in Stoneleigh on 8 November 1909 to parents Francis George Walton and his wife Selina nee Loveland. The family lived with Frances' widowed grandmother Lucy Ann Walton in Stoneleigh. She married Thomas Ralph Twigger on 2 May 1936 at St. Mary's Stoneleigh. On 9 October 1938 their daughter Sheila Frances was born and a year later the 1939 Register shows the family living in Vicarage Road Stoneleigh with Frances' mother and father. Her husband Thomas was a metallurgist while she carried out domestic duties at the house. Their second child John Edward Twigger was born a few years later in June 1943 but unfortunately died 15 years later on 23 July 1958. Thomas died on 28 April 1987 but Frances lived to be 96 years of age passing away in January 2006.
