Barbara Tenison Power nee Knowles
Barbara Tenison Knowles was born in December 1919 in West Bromwich, the second daughter of Basil Tenison Royle Knowles and his wife Marian Eva nee Jones. Her engagement was announced to Dr John Hale Power in Walsall on 23 August 1941 and they were married at St Mary's, The Mount, Walsall on 28 December 1941. John was the eldest son of Dr and Mrs J H Power of Ashlea, Binley Road, Coventry. Barbara's older sister Sylvia had married John's brother William earlier that year. John and Barbara had a son, Andrew, born in 1943.
She died aged 45 years on 17 February 1965 while living in Southbank Avenue, Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Her husband died in 1982.
