William Terence Gordon Scott
William, known familiarly as "Scotty" was born in Coventry on 28 October 1917 to Peter and Margaret Scott nee Dodwell. He was the youngest of their four children. He married Eleanor Elsie M Bennett, who had been born on 12 August 1913, in late 1941, the marriage being registered in Warwick. Eleanor was the daughter of Kenilworth auctioneer and estate agent Harrington Bennett and his wife Elsie; in 1939 the family lived in Waverley Road and she was working as a clerk.
When William died on 1 February 1988 he was living at 90, Cromwell Lane, Tile Hill. His wife survived him by many years, dying in early 2001.
