Katharine Helene Stanley Kate Stanley's life was cut tragically short by meningitis when she was just 17. Born on 5 March 1971 in Nottingham, she attended King Henry VIII School in Coventry along with her younger brother Andrew. A talented student, she was a gifted artist, particularly producing a series of cartoons based on her beloved dog Dizzy; her image of him appears on her headstone.
