Grave photoDavid William Bushnell and Annie Louisa Bushnell nee Kingzett David William Bushnell was born on 3 March 1890 in Bishop's itchington, where his father Arthur Ernest Bushnell was a police officer. He was baptised there on 21 March; his mother's name was Alice Helena nee Fawcett. By 1901 his father was working as a domestic butler in Windy Arbour, Kenilworth. David was the second child of the family, which by 1911 had grown to five children, although one child had died. David's grandmother Caroline Fawcett had also lived with them for several years. David, now 21, was working in Coventry as a butcher's assistant. In November 1915 he attested to serve in the war with the Royal Garrison Artillery, his occupation given as a butcher. During his service he was gassed, but continued to serve until demobilized in September 1919. In the following year, on 13 June 1920, he married Annie Louisa Kingzett at Stoneleigh , and their daughter Rhoda Muriel was born on 3 July 1922. David died on 28 December 1964, at Keresley Hospital in Coventry. His last address had been Crampers Fields in Coundon, Coventry. Annie Louisa Kingzett was the second child of Frank and Emily Kingzett nee Hatwell, who lived in Bladon, Oxfordshire, where Frank was a labourer. She was born on 17 June 1894 and baptised at Bladon on 7 October. By 1911 she cannot be found on a census, although her parents lived at Woodstock at that time and stated that four children had been born of their marriage. Annie died on 16 April 1969. Her father Frank had died in 1930 and her mother Emily Eliza Kingzett in 1935; they are also buried at Stoneleigh.
