Francis David Taylor was born in Birmingham in October 1908 to William James Taylor a house painter and his wife Rose Amelia Taylor. He was ten months old when he was baptised on 4 July 1909 along with his three siblings, the oldest of whom was eight. He and Louisa married in December 1941 in Worcester; he died in Warwick in January 1966. Louisa Taylor (nee Ward), the wife of Francis was born on 26 August 1906 and died in 1998.
