John and Joanna Gibbs Both John and Joanna Gibbs were children of Joseph Gibbs and his wife Anne nee Wright (C14.4). John was the eldest boy, being baptised at Stoneleigh on 2 February 1741, making his birth-date late 1740 or early 1741. He appears to have died unmarried; his date of death is currently unknown and difficult to decipher on the stone. On the same stone is inscribed the name of Joanna Gibbs. The fifth child of seven, she was baptised at Stoneleigh on 20 February 1745, making her birth-date late 1744 or early 1745. She too appears to have remained unmarried and her date of death unknown. All the children of Joseph Gibbs were mentioned in his Will in 1748; both John and Joanna were very young when their father died and he asked that particular provision be made as to their education.
