Richard and Mary Dilworth nee Harpar
Richard Dilworth was presumably born in 1721 as his tombstone in 1783 gives his age as 62. His parentage is unknown. At the age of 39, on 6 December 1760, he married, at Stoneleigh, Mary Harpar, but this was not his first marriage as he is described in the register as a widower. The marriage was witnessed by Stoneleigh couple William and Mary Howlett.
The couple had three children, two sons and a daughter, though their first-born, Joseph, lived only a few months.
Richard died on 1 February 1783 and was buried on 5 February.
His wife
Mary was considerably younger than him. Again, her parentage is unconfirmed. She was born in 1737 and was baptised on 5 June that year, at St Nicholas Church, Kenilworth. She outlived her husband by many years, dying on 21 February 1823. She was buried on 24 February.
