Alfred Percy Oakley, born on 13 January 1888, was the son of single parent Mary Oakley and was baptised on 12 February 1888 in Warwick, his mother's address being the Union Workhouse. However, he came to live with his mother and grandparents in Stoneleigh. In 1893 his mother married John Holloway and by 1911 Alfred Percy was living with his mother, stepfather and grandfather. On Christmas Day 1915 he married Emily Manton from Stretton on Dunsmore at Stoneleigh Church. He died on 6 June 1958.
