Leonard Edward Edwards and Gwendoline Mary Edwards nee Meacham
Leonard Edward Edwards was born to Percy James Edwards and his wife Fanny Adelaide on 18 March 1911; at the census a few weeks later the family lived at 5 South Street where Percy was a shop assistant and shirt maker. Leonard married Gwendoline Mary Meacham in 1939; by the time of the register that September they were living in Brayford Avenue where he was an assistant factories manager at a clothing factory.
When he died on 1 February 1981 he was living at Oaklawn, Stoneleigh Road, Gibbet Hill.
Gwendoline, the daughter of Walter Meacham and Emma nee Brown (see
B11.10) died just over three years later on 17 July 1984, her address being Elizabeth Way, Kenilworth. She and her husband are commemorated together here and in the next plot her son Robert was buried alongside his grandmother, her mother Emma.
