You will always be made very welcome. Our first 2026 meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 27^th, featuring a double presentation from two of our members. 1. "Who gave 'Lanch' to Lanchester Polytechnic?"-A short overview of Dr Fred Lanchester's life and accomplishments from 1868 to 1946, covering automobiles, aircraft, Maharajas, and peaky blinders. 2. A DVD documenting the local "Campaign to Stop Expansion of the Airport" from the early 2000s, accompanied by a brief commentary. The meeting begins at 7:30pm in Stoneleigh Village Hall. New members are welcome. Non-members pay £3, which includes refreshments. Annual membership fees of £20 are now due. For additional information, please refer to the membership page.

The 1939 register has also been updated to include some names which were originally redacted. A paper copy of this can also be found in the Leigh Chapel, alongside the display. Were any of your relatives A.R.P wardens, land girls or "doing their bit" for Stoneleigh? The 1939 register may show if they were.
